That’s where you come in. We need a **Junior Social Media Writer to join our remote team in Egypt**. You’ll work as part of a global, vibrant team with colleagues across Egypt, Nigeria USA, UK, Sweden, Portugal and Spain.

Responsibilities:

- Work as part of our content team that’s spread across Nigeria and Egypt, focusing primarily on Arabic
- and English-language content for our Egyptian audiences.
- This will involve working closely with our existing Egyptian and Nigerian content and social writers and contributing to an overall consistent content strategy.
- Create compelling B2B and B2C social media posts and campaigns to helps us build and engage our audience of followers/subscribers on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
- Work closely with our design team to ensure that the beauty of your words is fully visualised, providing useful feedback on best-practices for different formats (what does the perfect LinkedIn carousel look like? What sort of videos do we want to catch attention on our Insta Reels?).
- Help us stay on top of industry developments in B2B and B2C social media, while experimenting with new platforms and formats.
- Ensure that social media posts are aligned with our broader content strategy for Egypt and our wider Content Team Goals.
- Use UTM links to show where people engaging with your social content are clicking through to visit our website.
- Contribute to our reporting efforts on social media, which is shared all the way to the top of the organisation, with the CEO particularly interested in our LinkedIn performance.
- Work with key company stakeholders to produce thought-leadership content they can share on their own social profiles.
- Support our wider content production efforts with opportunity to learn about and produce search-optimised FAQs, engaging blogs, ad copy, one-pagers and more. You may join as a social (media) butterfly but there’s an opportunity here for a metamorphosis into a fully-fledged content superstar (especially if you can come up with better copy than this strained effort).

**What you’ll need to thrive**:

- Native-quality Arabic speaker and English proficient enough to write enticing social copy for business and consumer audiences.
- Whether you’re a graduate or taught yourself, the most crucial thing is that you have an eye for great writing.
- Just to reiterate: be rather good at writing - you’ve a penchant for literary panache, but you know how to craft compelling copy that will appeal to any audience (and you probably like puns).
- Experience of creating winning social media content for business
- or consumer-facing brands.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Our content team is growing so you need to know how to play well with others
- A head for numbers and understanding of social media reporting. It would be great to see some quantifiable results from your efforts, as well as your most-excellent posts themselves. Did your immaculate copy drive engagements, or help boost follow numbers? We want to hear it).
- Ability to be creative while working within the framework of our brand guidelines.
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on constructive, supportive feedback from the rest of the content team.
- Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise your work effectively.
