We have an exciting opportunity for a
**Senior Surveyor** to join our team of Maritime experts in technically supporting all marine casualties of any type and size worldwide.

**What you will be doing.**:
As our
** Senior Surveyor,** you will be responsible for developing and planning a business to provide sufficient surveyor coverage in the geographic area of responsibility. Supporting the operations and offering guidance to Surveyors. Furthermore, you will need to be familiar with all aspects of ABL Marine services and key deliverables and will need to undertake your own chargeable time. In addition, you will:

- Need to familiarise yourself with all aspects of ABL Marine services and key deliverables.
- Attend casualties and determine damage's nature, extent, and cause.
- Estimate costs of repairs and subsequently compile reports for Clients.
- Partake in business development activities including Marine Assurance business strategy, its marketing, implementation, budgets, pricing and quotations for new projects.
- Assist in marketing ABL Marine and its services.
- Offer guidance and training to staff surveyors.
- Technically supervising the surveyors’ inspections while they are onboard the vessels during inspections/marine assurance.
- Review (technical & QA/QC) marine assurance reports before releasing them to clients.
- Cover the marine assurance part in the MWS projects.
- Contribute physically to marine assurance attendances/inspections.
- Promote ABL QHSE goals and follow the implementation by the staff.
- Complete other duties as assigned.

**THE CANDIDATE MUST HAVE THE RIGHT TO LIVE AND WORK IN CAIRO, EGYPT**

Flexibility and willingness to travel as well as readiness for onshore/offshore assignments at short notice locally and globally for periods would be required.

**What we are looking for.**:

- Be an Unlimited Master Mariner (STCW II/2) or Unlimited Chief Engineer (STCW III/2), with DP hands-on experience and/or significant survey consultancy-related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience within the Marine Assurance Surveying and consultancy industry.
- Be a highly motivated individual with Exposure to vessel DP audits and DP trials.
- Demonstrate good decision-making capability with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgement, and strong operational focus.
- Possess accurate reporting and the ability to deliver high-quality work on time.
- Display strong communication and interpersonal skills, with good written and spoken English command.
- Exhibit effective time management skills, including dealing effectively with multiple issues and assignments simultaneously.

Desirable Skills:

- Shore-based management experience.
- Held a management position for 3-5 years onboard various types of vessels.
- Experience with more types of vessels and rigs.
- Experience with Maritime Insurance and P&I.
