You will be working as Service Engineer and will be the part of Motion business area for Service division based in Cairo, Egypt. In this role you will be reporting to Service team leader and will be responsible to perform remote and on-site service activities for drives products and/or systems at workshop in accordance with customer requirements, ensure timely, cost-effective solutions in accordance with standard processes, procedures and safety guidelines

**Your responsibilities**:

- Diagnosing technical problems, determining corrective actions and repairing drives products at workshop and/or systems via remote or on-site service
- Assessing technical issues to determine if on-site assistance is required and performing all on
- site / workshop activities in accordance with ABB procedures and safety requirements
- Solving hardware and software functional compatibility problems and mistakes found during service intervention and replaces faulty hardware or software items involved
- Providing assistance via service calls during and after hours as necessary, performing remote service assistance using remote connection and diagnostics tools
- Obtaining acknowledgement from the customer regarding the completed repair tasks and detailed activities performed to solve the customer problem
- Acting as the project leader in the service project by analyzing the repair work requirements and clarifying the repair scope
- Ensuring the coordination of the other internal and external technicians and assigning them specific tasks related to repair / service needs
- Keeping management informed of project progress and any problems that arise (technical issues, manpower, contractual delays, etc.)

**Your background**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics Engineering
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in-service function with strong understanding to the electrical drives and motors industry
- Effective communication internally within the organization and externally with customers
- Results orientation and dedication, ownership and teamwork / spirit
- Computer skills in Microsoft office (mainly Word, excel & power point)
- Ability to learn and work hard for certification and development, time management and ability to effectively transfer know-how & develop technical capabilities
- Work under pressure for long durations with maximum / effective output
- Fluency in both Arabic & English language is mandatory
