That’s why we’re looking for a talented **Software Engineering Manager** to join Procore’s journey to revolutionize a historically underserved industry.

As a **Software Engineering Manager** at Procore, you will have the unique opportunity to lead and evolve our pivotal platform that integrates various construction technology tools. This role places you at the heart of our mission to connect all stakeholders within the construction industry, enabling better collaboration, data-driven decision-making, and streamlined processes.

**What you’ll do**:

- Own and lead the strategic direction, development, and maintenance of the Procore Connectability Platform, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of the construction industry.
- Drive the integration of cutting-edge technologies and methodologies to enhance the Connectability Platform's capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, UX, Other stakeholders from different teams) to develop a cohesive vision and execution plan for Procore Connectability, ensuring alignment with Procore's overall technical and business goals.
- Manage and mentor a team of software and data engineers, fostering an environment of growth, innovation, and excellence.
- Ensure the delivery of scalable, high-quality solutions that provide real value to Procore users, emphasizing usability, reliability, and performance.
- Engage with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to gather feedback and insights, guiding the continuous improvement of the Connectability Platform.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices incorporating them into the platform's evolution.

**What we’re looking for**:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in software development, with a robust background in Object-Oriented Programming, Design Patterns, and system architecture.
- Demonstrated expertise in leveraging streaming solutions like Apache Flink for data processing and Java for backend development. Familiarity with Ruby on Rails is a significant plus.
- Strong leadership skills with at least 3 years of experience managing diverse and geographically dispersed engineering teams.
- Good knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) and familiarity with container orchestration systems (e.g., Kubernetes).
- Exceptional problem-solving capabilities, strategic planning abilities, and excellent communication skills.
- A passion for leveraging technology to solve real-world challenges, especially within the construction industry.
