Property Underwriter

**Responsibilities**:

- Excellent understanding of insurance structuring and reinsurance.
- Analyzes new submissions in accordance with Allianz underwriting standards.
- Initiate technical report according to business needs.
- Ability to assess risk inherent exposures in accordance with assigned authority limits and Allianz UW standards.
- Underwrite profitable new and renewal business to meet property line targets in accordance with underwriting guidelines and underwriting authority.
- Negotiate price, terms and conditions with producers. Proactively manage capacity.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with distribution sales channel and clients in partnership with Market Management.
- Underwrite and evaluate emerging exposures, Natural Catastrophe Accumulation, Contingent Business Interruption exposures ensuring an understanding of Catastrophe modeling and interpretation of scenarios.
- Ensure accurate policy documentation issued to producers and sanction screening as per AZ standard.
- Proactively support acquisition of new business and retention of existing business (including client and sales channel negotiations where necessary)
- Manage the underwriting books.
- Analyze trends and scenario plans from which portfolio strategies can be developed and implemented.

**Qualifications**:

- 3-5 years of experience and a proven record of accomplishment in Underwriting profitable business in Property line with greater than 3 years environmental experience.
