Mission

The Data Science team is part of the Smart Shared Service Centre, which is the global technology development centre for Valeo Services. We are interested in hiring an experienced Data Architect to work closely with our Data Science teams to recommend database structures based on the data storage and retrieval needs within each project and platform. The Data Architect will be responsible for constantly monitoring our database and immediately addressing database issues and problems.

The data architect will have a major duty to design, implement and manage MDM- Master Data Management Solutions Architect. By providing technical expertise to the project(s); product team(s) to help assure that MDM solutions are designed and developed in the optimal manner and in accordance with industry and MDM best practices.

**Responsibilities**:
- Design and implement effective database solutions and models to store and retrieve company data.- Deeply involvement in the development of requirements and design specifications for new projects.-
- Responsible of database implementation procedures to ensure they comply with internal and external regulations.- Prepare accurate database design and architecture reports for management and executive teams.- Responsible of the migration of data from legacy systems to new solutions.- Monitor the system performance by performing regular tests, troubleshooting and integrating new features.- Offer support by responding to system problems in a timely manner.- Drives overall MDM- Master Data Management solutions architecture and development of requirements and design specifications- Design and implement data model requirements- Design, develop, and configure business rules for standardize, match and merge.- Configures MDM data engine, match-merge algorithm and workbench configuration to meet requirements- Responsible of the installation/upgrade, product code migration across multiple environments, testing defects; resolution, and data loads.- Responsible for MDM software upgrades, patch releases, and notifies team on upcoming functionality.- Identify, analyze and present latest industry innovations and implementations in the MDM workspace.- Recommend solutions to improve new and existing database systems.- Educate staff members through training and individual support.

Education/Training

Computer science, Engineering, Statistics, and Information Systems BSc. Master of Science is a plus.

5+ years of experiences in Data Science, BI, Data Warehousing, Data Mining, Big Data, Cloud and MDM.

Professional Experience- A deep understanding of data lifecycle (data profiling, data quality, master data management, data warehouses/marts/staging/ODS)- Good knowledge of SQL- Practical leadership in data integration tools.- Practical leadership in master data management & associated tools- Must have a technical background and be able to lead data integration, data modeling, MDM workflow, etc through a firsthand understanding of the work- Prior experience with Analytics platforms, Data Mining, OLAP technologies and ETL tools.- Understanding of at least one of major BI platforms as well as some emerging data analytics tools.- Good knowledge of big data technologies.- Solid understanding of NoSQL and prior experience working with NoSQL databases.- Experience working with Cloud Storage solutions is a plus.- A process
- oriented individual, with strong project management skills, who has the flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic organization- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and oral/written communication skills- Data-oriented personality- Eager to research and learn in a self-directed way (always improving)- Good communication skills- Must have a methodology for keeping up in this ever-changing space of information management
