Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies

Use machine learning tools and statistical techniques to produce solutions to problems

Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques

Present information using data visualization techniques

Horizon scan to stay up to date with latest technology, techniques and methods

Conduct research from which you'll develop prototypes and proof of concepts

Having strong quantitative skills is a good base, but an interest in data and being able to solve problems logically and methodically are often bigger factors

Experience in (or a willingness to get to grips with) database interrogation and analysis tools, such as Hadoop, SQL and SAS

Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SLQ, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets

Experience working with and creating data architectures

Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks

Masters degree or higher in statistics, math, computer science and economics (or other relevant area), or equivalent relevant experience with a demonstrable commitment to self-development

ITIL v3 foundation and SAFe® Agilist Certifications needed

Financial background is a plus

Optionnel: CMM/CMMI, PMP or PgMP or Prince2 or MSP (or internal PM certifications), Six Sigma certifications

Experience

10 - 15 years of customer facing experience in the telecom or IT industry

Experience in working in and international environment with geographically distributed teams.

Experience at developing, documenting and optimizing processes

Experience at communicating and reporting to senior management
