Welding Engineer

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Welding Procedures and Procedure Qualification Records**:

- Develop, review, and approve welding procedures (WPS/PQR) to meet project requirements.
- Ensure welding processes comply with industry codes and standards, such as AWS, ASME, and ISO.
- **Quality Control**:

- Implement and oversee quality control procedures for welding operations.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with welding standards and Project specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve welding-related issues to maintain welding process goes smoothly and correctly..
- **Technical Support**:

- Provide technical support and guidance to welders and other production staff.
- Address welding-related queries and offer solutions to complex welding problems.
- Train and mentor welding personnel on best practices and safety procedures.
- **Process Optimization**:

- Analyze and optimize welding processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall quality.
- Stay updated on the latest welding technologies and techniques and recommend improvements.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain detailed records of welding procedures, inspections, and quality control reports.
- Prepare and present technical reports on welding operations, performance, and compliance.
- **Safety and Compliance**:

- Ensure that all welding activities adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct safety training and promote a culture of safety within the welding team.
- **Collaboration**:

- Work closely with design engineers to review and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Collaborate with project managers to align welding processes with project timelines and specifications.
- Interface with clients and stakeholders as needed to address welding-related concerns.

**Qualifications**:
1. **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field.

2. **Experience**: [3+ years] of experience in welding engineering or a similar role, preferably in the steel structure industry.

3. **Certifications**: Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Welding Engineer, or International Welding Engineer (IWE) are highly desirable.

4. **Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of welding processes, materials, and techniques.
- Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Pay: E£20,000.00 per month
