**JOB PURPOSE**

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems & Network Engineer to join our innovative team. If you are passionate about technology, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and have experience in managing virtualization platforms and Windows servers, we want to hear from you.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**

**Network Skills**
- Design, implement, and manage networking infrastructure for optimal performance and security
- Oversee and manage wireless networks, ensuring seamless connectivity and troubleshooting connectivity issues
- Perform network troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and meet business requirements.
- Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls)
- To be responsible and accountable for network security; to actively review, monitor and improve network infrastructure security, undertake a regular programe of self-audit and base lining by utilizing the appropriate tools and in conjunction with formal audits as conducted by both Internal and external auditors

**System Administration Skills**
- Manage and maintain virtualization platforms, primarily VMWare, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability
- Oversee day-to-day maintenance tasks for Windows servers, ensuring system stability and security
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and address business requirements
- Monitor system performance and conduct regular system audits to ensure adherence to security and compliance standards
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and provide timely resolutions
- Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Perform system upgrades, patches, and regular system updates
- Develop and maintain documentation related to system configurations, processes, and procedures Communication
- Effectively communicates relevant project information to superiors.
- Delivers engaging, informative and well-organized presentations.
- Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.
- Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
- Management of incidents to ensure rapid resolution.

Including:

- Root cause analysis. Managing incidents to ensure all avenues are explored weighing up possible solutions and associated risk.

**Desired Certifications**:

- Network +, CCNA, CCNP
- MCITP, VCP
- Security +
- ITIL

**Desired Skills**:

- Proven experience as a Network & System Engineer or similar role in a corporate setting
- Strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, VPN,IPSEC,VRRP, BGP, HSRP)
- Hands-on experience with Cisco/Load-balancer networking devices and Meraki products preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent will be a plus
- Strong understanding of virtualization technologies and concepts
- Proficiency in Windows server operating systems, Active Directory, and related technologies
- Experience with server hardware and storage systems
- Relevant certifications such as VMWare Certified Professional (VCP) or Microsoft Certified: Windows Server certifications will be a plus
