You will be working with a team of writers, editors and designers to create a huge variety of learning resources that are used across the globe Whether it be illustrations to increase engagement levels of students or to demonstrate a principle crucial to the student’s understanding, you’ll be contributing to Twinkl’s mission to ‘Help those who teach,’ and helping give learners worldwide a step up in life.

You will receive thorough training and support on how to create our resources whilst also learning about our Twinkl brand guidelines.

Ongoing projects/how you’ll spend your day:

- Creating illustrations for the international team's resources.
- Skill share workshops and other related training activities.
- Weekly video meetings with your team and line manager.

In this role, you will learn:

- How to illustrate beautifully for a fast paced ever changing professional environment.
- How to make your contribution to a team count. You won’t just learn to be efficient, but also to be effective.
- A variety of Twinkl brand styles to service all ages of learners.
- Advanced and highly valued Photoshop skills.

You’ll work with:

- An international illustration team.
- One of our product teams.

**How to apply**:

All portfolios and example pieces will undergo evaluation to check that no images are AI generated or plagiarised, if any work is found not to be your own it will result in an immediate disqualification from the process.

At the interview stage, we will also ask for 5 images of your work to talk through in the interview.

**Requirements**:
To succeed in the role, you will:

- Have the ability to draw to a predefined style.
- Be creative and imaginative.
- Be proficient in the use of Adobe Photoshop.
- Have the ability to research and pull out relevant information & ideas.
- Have strong drawing fundamentals.

We're interested in anyone who meets one, or a combination of the following:

- Experience in educational illustration.
- Experience in illustrating for children.

Equipment Checklist:
What you will need to provide:

- Your internet will need to be able to withstand a video call with 10 people, having camera and microphone on, with no connection issues.
- Adequate working space - ideally a desk that is at least 84cm across and 70cm deep.

Computer or laptop, minimum spec to allow all necessary programs and systems to run optimally:

- Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700 or Apple M1 chip
- 16Gb RAM
- 256GB SSD Hard drive
- Mouse
- Webcam and headphones including microphone

Drawing tablet:

- You will need a graphics tablet with or without a screen
- iPads and iPad pros are not suitable due to our workflow

When working it is essential that you have:

- Good working environment free from distractions
- Boundaries in place to separate work from home life

Nice to have but not essential:

- Due to the detail of the illustrations we create, it can be beneficial to have a second screen.

Twinkl will provide:

- Twinkl Google account (access to Gmail, Google calendar, sheets, etc).
