We are seeking highly motivated, responsible and self-starting **Software Development** **Engineer** to join our forward thinking **Design Solutions R&D team** under the **ICVS division** in Cairo, Egypt. This is role with a truly global scope, and the opportunity to drive continuous improvement of one our most important services.

**Main Responsibilities**
- Design, improve, implement, and release software that meets functionality, usability, reliability, performance, and supportability requirements.
- Interface with other software developers as needed to understand and manage interdependencies of project tasks, product and flow integration issues.
- Participate in reviews and/or inspections of, designs, specifications, and code.
- Participate in project planning and tracking, task investigation, work breakdown, and schedule estimation. Keep project stakeholders informed of project risks and status.
- Collaborate with Marketing & QA teams to understand and support customer needs and requirements.
- Write and maintain functional and design specification documents.
- Work with different software technologies to achieve business objectives.

**Required skills, knowledge and experience**
- B.Sc. in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering or Computer Science.
- 0-3 years of relevant professional experience.
- Hands-on experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) using C/C++.
- Very good knowledge of Software algorithms and data structures.
- Highly developed communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and share your knowledge with others.
- Very good command of English language.
- Experience in Qt framework, Agile development methodologies, Design Patterns, UML diagrams, Java, Eclipse plugins, Unix/Linux operating system environments is a plus
- Solid knowledge of VHDL, Verilog and SystemVerilog hardware description languages.
