Financial Controller

(based in 6th October, Egypt)
**Financial Analysis, Budgeting and Forecasting**
- Review and analyze monthly financial results and provide recommendations
Identify, develop and execute analysis of business initiatives and / or new service offerings
- Manage financial planning and analysis of the company
- Supervise creation of reports, software implementation and tools for budgeting and forecasting
- Participate in weekly meetings with the leadership Team
- Communicate, engage and interact with the Shareholders, Board of Directors and the leadership team of the company
- Participate in pivotal decisions as they relate to strategic initiatives and operational models
- Define & implement policies, procedures and processes as deemed appropriate by the leadership team
Any other responsibility as given by the corporate office and leadership team

Accounting, General Ledger, Administration and Operations
- Supervise the accounting department to ensure the proper functioning of all systems, databases and financial software. Provide regular maintenance and backup of all accounting systems and supervise company financial staff
Ensure timeliness and accuracy of financial and management reporting data for company’s shareholders and board of directors
- Oversee the preparation and communication of periodic financial statements
- Oversee the preparation and timely filing of all statutory & regulatory filings
Work with various departments to ensure appropriate legal compliance
- Oversee the month-end close process, constantly reviewing procedures while eliminating inefficiencies
- Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
Review all month-end closing activities including general ledger accounts, balance sheet accounts and cost allocation
- Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools and control systems
- Hire, develop and manage managers and staff
Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors; manage preparation and support of all internal & external audits
- Coordinate and strategize methods used to attain corporate goals
- Coordinate & supervise working with shared service centre based outside the country
- Active involvement in implementation of SAP finance workstreams

Financial Management
- Manage cash flow planning process and ensure funds availability
- Maintain outstanding strategic alliances with vendors and business partners
- Utilize forward-looking models and activity-based analyses to provide financial insight into the organization’s plans and operating budgets
- Oversee daily cash management and AP Department, approve large payables, sign checks and authorize large wires
- Supervise Accounts Receivable management and provide guidance relating to the collection process
- Develop financial strategies

Tax & legal compliance
- Oversee tax review and finalizing for corporate tax, employee tax, VAT, customs and all other types of direct & indirect taxes
- Planning, optimization & restructuring
- Supervising & finalizing transfer pricing reports
- Review & compliances of Board of Investment (BOI)
- Compliance of all tax and legal matters of the entities
- Develop tax strategies
**Financial Controller (FC) - Position Requirements**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or CPA or equivalent preferred
- 5 years minimum experience at same or similar position in a large (US$100 million+) multinational company
- 15+ years of total accounting or finance experience with manufacturing company
- Experience of working in petrochemical industry will be preferred
- Outstanding knowledge and understanding of IFRS / local GAPP
- Background coordinating with IT staff to manage and / or upgrade accounting system. Systems implementation experience strongly preferred.
- “Hands On” ERP Systems Experience - SAP Required
- Experience of Hyperion consolidation software shall be preferred
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills
- Very good command on Microsoft excel & PowerPoint
- Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence and executive presence - ability to motivate staff
- Excellent analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills
- Significant experience working with external auditors, internal controls and compliance-related issues
