**About the role**:
DNV - Maritime **Station Egypt** is seeking a Senior Surveyor to join our Egypt office. As a “Fleet in Service” **Ship Surveyor** based in Egypt, you will be a member of a highly qualified team of surveyors and auditors in Egypt serving Egyptian ports and offshore locations mainly at **Alexandria, Port Said, Damietta, Ismailia, Suez** and other Egyptian ports, shipyards and offshore as needed.

**Tasks may include**:

- Ensure that the work or duties performed are in accordance with the Rules, Regulations, Instructions, Guidelines and quality requirements of the organization and the instructions of the line management.
- Maintain the confidentiality of clients' business, processes, designs, developments, and documentation always.
- When applicable, to supervise the work of third parties and ensure that it is carried out as above and in an efficient and economic cost-saving manner.
- Attend training courses and qualification training abroad as per global training plans.
- Exhibit customer-oriented focus through promoting DNV onboard or on-site, and by acting as a technical resource for customer questions.
- To support or work as Key Account Managers (KAM) or Account Team Member (ATM) handling Business development with defined customers.

**About you**:

- Bachelor or higher in **Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering**, or sea experience as Chief Engineer.
- Minimum 6 - 10 years of relevant experience as a Ship Surveyor/ Ship Engineer/ Chief Engineer/Naval Artilect/Shipyard Engineer.
- Language: English Speaking / Writing proficiency required.
- Technical competencies: DNV or other IACS class society qualifications as class & statutory surveyor; ISM, MLC and ISPS auditor will be a plus.
- Behavioral competencies: Team player but able to work independently on surveys/audits, customer-oriented mindset, and solution-oriented mindset.
- Travel expectation /Year - Domestic - 75 % International10%
- Physical abilities necessary to perform regular functions of the job: Climbing pilot ladders & in/out of tanks and confined spaces; crew boat launches in various local climate condition.
