We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Vice President Risk & Compliance CoE Lead, Egypt

**Principal responsibilities**
- Responsible for driving the growth of the Risk and Compliance CoE teams in Egypt and building the strategic vision for the joined-up function
- Leading Risk and Compliance Shared Services CoE in Egypt, taking responsibility for execution of strategy and operational delivery
- Entity management accountability of Risk and Compliance CoEs
- Partnering and working with the Department / Functional Heads to oversee the provision of Risk &Compliance CoE services to the Global function in line with agreed SLAs and KPIs, managing any associated risks
- Build strategic supplier relationships with internal recruitment teams as well as with Third party approved suppliers
- Partnering with the Global CoE Heads to oversee the function within the Shared Services CoE in Egypt
- Escalating through regional/global/functional leads as necessary to ensure key performance standards are deployed in a consistent manner and sufficiently aligned to the proposed SLAs, intervening as necessary to resolve issues and drive performance across teams
- Promote a positive work culture within Risk & Compliance CoE based on respect for people, integrity of actions, creativity and collaboration leading to increased productivity
- Leading effective governance to ensure both existing work and new migrations are robustly reviewed for efficiency purposes and meeting reporting requirements for compliance and external regulators
- Maintains timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
- Tracking KPIs to identify performance trends, interpreting outcomes to address areas of concern and to ensure enhancements are made where necessary
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders including COOs, sub-function heads, Ex-Co members and other CoE heads
- Budgetary control and cost ownership for the Risk & Compliance CoE
- Actively participating in relevant regulatory change initiatives, compliance and operational risk related forums / committees
- Ensuring Risk & Compliance CoE in Egypt is operating in alignment with global principles to maintain a clear and consistent view of service provision globally
- Continually reassess the operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of geopolitical, economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology

- Driving and encouraging constructive cross-country and cross-business teamwork through collaboration and matrix management
- Setting and maintaining the highest possible conduct standards across all aspects in the GSC

**Functional Knowledge**
- Understanding of the Risk & Compliance functiosn, including policies, services, systems and processes.
- Experience of managing operations with a clear understanding of the likely risk landscape and how best to build effective controls
- Experienced change leader with proven experience of sponsoring complex changes.
- Experience of Agile working and process optimisation activity is highly desirable
- Outstanding organisational and planning skills with experience of management of multiple complex programmes/business transformations, with knowledge on when and how to re-prioritise, or escalate as required
- Strong commercial mindset to ensure build, interlock and oversight of all associated cost, budget, FTE and Governance related to multiple programmes of work.
