**This position, based in Astana, Kazakhstan **is an opportunity for an experienced **Release Planner** to work with our international team of digital heroes for a client based in Saudi Arabia.
You will lead and manage technical governance for the shared environments for a world-first initiative critical to the Saudi 2030 vision. As Release Manager, you will have strong communication skills to manage multiple client and agency stakeholders, a willingness to provide support, and strong technical knowledge in the release management lifecycle.
**Responsibilities**:
- You will be responsible for the Release Management lifecycle that involves the scheduling the release, coordinating between teams, and planning of release deployment as per the schedule.
- You will manage multiple releases from multiple parties, potentially on the same code base or from multiple repositories.
- You will develop and own the _'release management playbook'_ that governs the planning and implementation of releases, ensuring the right business, technical and client stakeholders are informed, responsible and accountable at the relevant level.
- You will continually evaluate internal and technical processes, and identify automation opportunities.
- Coordinate with multiple development teams and lead clients and partners understand, plan and deploy code changes and system configurations within the required timelines.
- Write, own and implement release and rollback plans to ensure mínimal (if any) downtime during a deployment or in the event of an issue deployment.
**Requirements**:
We're looking for someone with 3+ years of experience in a Release Planning role.
Requirements for this role include:
- Excellent English communication and documentation skills.
- Excellent planning and scheduling abilities, coordinating multiple releases from multiple sources
- Able to manage multiple global stakeholders, including clients, internal and external 3rd parties
- Create, maintain and utilise rollback plans in case of issues
- Create comprehensive release notes and versioning for each release
- Able to identify risks and communicate to stakeholders, take steps to mitigate, or manage them effectively should they eventuate during a release
- Manage releases of code (and possibly content) through different environments
- Work with project managers, deployment managers, developers, testers and other stakeholders to ensure quality releases are deployed on schedule
