Position Title: IT Manager
Location: Movenpick Resort Sharm El Sheikh, South Sinai, Egypt
Department: Information Technology
Reports To: General Manager
Position Summary:
The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the resort's information technology systems and infrastructure. This includes managing the IT team, ensuring the security and efficiency of the hotel's IT network, and supporting various departments by providing technological solutions to enhance guest services and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
IT Infrastructure Management:
Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software.
Ensure the reliability and security of IT systems, networks, and data.
Manage server administration, backup systems, and disaster recovery plans.
Network Management:
Maintain and optimize the resort’s wired and wireless network infrastructure.
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Implement network security measures to protect against unauthorized access and data breaches.
Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and manage the IT team, providing guidance and support.
Conduct performance evaluations and develop training programs for team members.
Coordinate with other departments to understand their IT needs and provide appropriate solutions.
Vendor Management:
Manage relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.
Negotiate contracts and ensure the timely delivery of products and services.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies and software to improve operations.
Guest and Staff Support:
Provide technical support to guests and staff, addressing any IT-related issues promptly.
Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure efficient operations.
Train staff on the use of hotel systems and software.
Project Management:
Lead IT projects, including system upgrades, new implementations, and integrations.
Develop project plans, set timelines, and ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
Collaborate with various departments to ensure IT projects meet their needs and enhance overall guest experience.
Compliance and Security:
Ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards for IT security and data protection.
Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
Implement and maintain data privacy policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management, preferably in the hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networks, and systems administration.
Experience with hotel management software and systems (e.g., PMS, POS, CRM).
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
Working Conditions:
Full-time position, typically working standard office hours with occasional evening or weekend work required to address urgent issues.
On-call availability to handle emergencies and system outages.
