Group Chief Internal Audit

Our client, a global conglomerate, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Group Chief Internal Audit to join their team. As Group Chief Internal Audit, you will be responsible for leading and managing the internal audit function across the organization. This is a key leadership role, requiring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate audit findings to senior management and the Board of Directors.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive internal audit strategy and plan
- Lead and manage the internal audit team, including hiring, training, and performance management
- Oversee the execution of internal audits, including planning, fieldwork, and reporting
- Ensure compliance with internal audit standards and best practices
- Identify and assess risks, and develop appropriate audit procedures and methodologies
- Review and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, and make recommendations for improvement
- Prepare audit reports and presentations for senior management and the Board of Directors
- Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies as necessary
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in internal audit
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Professional certification such as CIA, CPA, or CISA
- Minimum 15 years of experience in internal audit, with at least 5 years in a leadership position
- Strong knowledge of internal audit standards, methodologies, and best practices
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Experience in a global organization is preferred
