Identify potential suppliers and vendors for agricultural inputs, equipment, and services.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating terms and agreements to optimize cost and quality.
- Evaluate supplier performance and compliance with company standards.
- Monitor inventory levels of critical agricultural supplies and materials.
- Implement inventory management strategies to prevent shortages and overstocking, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
- Analyze market trends, pricing, and supplier quotes to make data-driven purchasing decisions.
- Assist in the development and management of departmental budgets, optimizing costs without compromising quality.
- Create and manage purchase orders for agricultural supplies, ensuring accuracy and adherence to procurement policies.
- Coordinate and expedite order deliveries to meet production and planting schedules.
- Ensure that purchased materials meet quality and safety standards, collaborating with quality control teams as needed.
- Address any quality issues with suppliers and seek resolutions.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier contracts, and price agreements.
- Generate regular reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance.
- Stay up to date with environmental and regulatory requirements related to agricultural procurement.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations in all purchasing activities.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Agriculture, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience in procurement, preferably in the agriculture or agribusiness sector.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.
- Knowledge of agricultural supply chains and related products.
- Understanding of quality assurance and inventory management practices.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of environmental and regulatory requirements in the agriculture sector is a plus.
