**YOUR POSITION WITH TNC**:
The Sustainability Information Manager oversees the calculation and emission reduction tracking and reporting of TNC’s greenhouse gas emission inventory. They lead the Sustainability Team’s business intelligence, data science, data analytics, GIS, and other relational database activities between internal and external sources. They provide technical expertise to Conservancy staff as a member of the Sustainability Team.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**

The Sustainability Information Manager designs and maintains centralized database programs and oversees all documentation for data and data management. They participate in conservation planning at various levels and develop methods for mapping and classifying TNC locations and carbon-emitting business activities to comply with GHG reporting protocols. They perform data analysis, design and produce advanced complex queries and professional reports, process spatial and other relational data sets derived from cartographic and tabular source material, provide hardware and software support, create data-rich dashboards, produce maps and other graphic products and reports, and develop and maintain a GIS library and/or database products library.
**RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE**
- Evaluates and implements solutions to improve TNC’s carbon footprint data collection, processing, analysis, tracking, and reporting processes.
- Extracts and processes data from TNC systems to enable the calculation and reporting of TNC’s carbon footprint, including evaluating APIs to streamline data exchanges between data sources and dashboards.
- Completes and/or reviews carbon emission calculations (either as lead or support for other Sustainability Team members and/or external consultants), including advanced Excel formulas or other data analysis tools as appropriate.
- Maintains, updates, improves, and expands TNC’s PowerBI Carbon Footprint Dashboard. The dashboard displays interactive emissions inventory data at various organizational levels across a continually expanding scope of emissions reporting categories.
- Develops, delivers, and maintains TNC staff training and support materials to deepen staff’s ability to use PowerBI data visualization and exploration tools to guide high-impact emission reduction actions.
- Designs online surveys to solicit and process sustainability information from TNC staff for carbon footprint calculations and to track Sustainability Program performance measures.
- Designs, implements, and directs complex and diverse projects, encompassing multiple programs and coordinating the work of other professionals inside and outside the organization.
- Incorporates cross-disciplinary knowledge to support program objectives.

- Works flexible hours, as needed, to engage stakeholders working across multiple time zones.
- Most work will be done from the Sustainability Information Manager’s primary office location (flexible), with meetings conducted through video conferencing and infrequent travel.
- Work environment involves only infrequent exposure to disagreeable elements and minor physical exertion and/or strain.
- Work is diversified and may not always fall under established practices and guidelines.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
