**Senior Big Data Engineer,** for one of our well-known partners.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead the Big Data Team: Act as the technical lead for the project, guiding the team’s direction and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Make Key Technical Decisions: Define the technical direction of the project, selecting appropriate open-source tools and methodologies to meet project objectives.
- Design and Build Data Pipelines: Design, build, and maintain scalable big data pipelines using open-source tools, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams to define and implement data requirements, fostering collaboration and alignment.
- Analyze Data Trends: Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive decision-making and strategy.
- Ensure Data Quality: Implement and oversee data quality, integrity, and security measures, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Mentor and Support Team Members: Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to the rest of the team, fostering a positive and collaborative environment.
- Report Progress and Challenges: Regularly communicate progress, challenges, and technical decisions to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in big data engineering, with a strong focus on open-source technologies.
- Proficiency in Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Hive, and other big data tools.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
