**Job Purpose**
The purpose of this role is to oversee the raw and packaging material acquisition and manages inventories to ensure that material resources are consistent with production schedules and required safety standards.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
**Material Planning**
1. Plans, controls and manages all packaging and raw materials availability on sites and in the central warehouse, using SAP and the support of Excel worksheets and planning tools.
2. Follows-up closely with buyers the pending and open purchase requests and purchase orders. Highlights in advance the operation needs and delivery delay risks.
3. Works closely with the production planners, and ensures that the materials needed for the set plan are available well ahead in advance.
4. Plans and coordinates material handling (inter-site transfer, allocation of common materials).
5. Controls Materials inventory Level (measure, review and monitor stock levels, identify and flag excess, obsolescence and expiration risks in an early stage
6. Calculates the market coverage for each scenario in alignment with the supply planner to have a full view of possible scenarios.
7. Shares raw and pack material monthly forecast with the procurement team.
8. Conducts regular inventory checks and ensures that there are enough stocks as required.
9. Generates codes for all materials and inputs any new products on the system.
10. Reviews safety stock parameters for all raw and packaging materials.
11. Addresses any below-safety materials and follows up on material under inspection to be released or rejected based on quality.
12. Reviews planning parameters such as lead-time and lot size.
13. Aligns with the procurement department on purchase requests and purchase orders. Abides by safety standards (material shelf-life) when placing any purchase orders.
14. Develops call-off plans for PET (Plastic) and other material.
15. Monitors potential versus actual scrapping costs.
16. Develops a monthly Risk of Expiry report and ensures the availability of sufficient material before expiry.
17. Conducts bottle planning and creates a report of all the bottles needed to be produced.
18. Collaborates with the marketing team to create labels for products and ensures the labels are delivered on time.
**MRP Review and Requisitions**
1. Oversees verification of materials’ requirements reflected in SAP (through MRP related transactions).
2. Reviews and validates SAP proposals for purchase requisitions.
3. Issues and releases requisitions on SAP.
4. Monitors requisition and order status on SAP and external worksheets.
5. Handles call-offs for contracted materials.
6. Flags criticalities and follow up with procurement, warehouses, and production planning teams.
7. Allocates and organizes inter-site transfer for common materials.
**NPIs and new materials handling**
1. Follows-up and ensures the creation of new items in SAP (codes and MRP settings).
2. Follows-up and ensures Bill of Materials is properly created in SAP (advisory and organizational role).
3. Initiates creation of new materials on SAP
4. Ensures smooth phase-in phase-out of stocks to avoid scrapping and write-offs.
**Inventory control**
1. Reviews and monitors materials stock levels.
2. Identifies and flags excess, obsolescence and expiration risks in an early stage.
3. Plays an advisory role in material inventory related areas.
4. Handles material write-offs review and follow up.
5. Conducts the needed follow up on the blocked stocks/waiting for inspection material.
**Measuring and Monitoring Performance management**:
1. Measures and reports material related Supply Chain performance indicators.
2. Measures and monitors the status of the open/pending requisitions and purchase orders
**Education & Experiences**
**Educational Background**:Bachelor’s degree in business administration or Engineering is preferable
**Years of Experience**: 1 - 3 years of experience in supply chain roles like material planning and management, planning/forecasting role, logistics, warehousing, preferably in FMCGs.
**Qualifications & Other Requirements**
- Excellent command of English Language
- Skills in Microsoft (Excel & PowerPoint) and Power Bi is a plus
- Profound experience, with advanced ERP systems, e.g. SAP and planning tools, e.g. FuturMaster
- Supply Chain certifications like CPIM is a plus
