We are building the platform for AI Copilots for Microsoft. We focus on the infrastructure used to power Bing Chat, M365 Chat, Windows Copilot, and other cutting edge AI Copilot solutions. Copilots are intelligent assistants that help users find deep insights into various tasks and then help users accomplish what they need to. Copilots leverage the power of LLMs to provide personalized and contextualized guidance, support, and action.

We work with a great team of engineers on the latest technological trends in AI, LLMs, Agents, OSS, AI safety, security, and privacy. We aim to take the very best ideas and turn them into business strategies and products.

We are expanding our team and looking for an experienced **engineering lead** who is passionate about Artificial Intelligence (AI) and can lead our team in the development of cutting-edge solutions. As an engineering lead, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying products and services to address complex business challenges.

**Responsibilities**:

- Foster and develop talented engineers capable of developing and running scalable, reliable, maintainable services.
- Help team members grow in their careers by providing regular feedback, coaching, and learning opportunities.
- Work with stakeholders to identify business needs and develop solutions that align with their objectives.
- Help the team plan and execute technical deliverables.
- Stay current with the latest developments in technologies and bring innovative ideas and insights to the team.
- Ensure the quality, scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability of services.
- Participate in design and code reviews, and contribute to the development of a clean, well-documented codebase.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven track record leading and managing a team of engineers spanning all aspects of the software engineering life cycle and a history of delivering elegant, robust, and performant services and features with quality and on schedule.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in designing, developing, and shipping high scale services.
- Experience building solutions on LLMs.
- Strong coding, debugging and algorithm design skills.
- Expertise in backend technologies such as.NET, relational and/or non-relational (NoSQL) databases, web services and RESTful concepts. Expertise in Web technologies is a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Experience operating, troubleshooting, and supporting high performance and business critical production systems.
- Effective communication and leadership skills.
- Commitment to creating and maintaining an inclusive workplace.
