**Responsibilities**:

- Work with ATEX Operator, WaysToCap and other consultants (including the Africa Buyer Programme) to onboard buyers and sellers of goods and services that will be traded under the AfCFTA and utilize ATEX to facilitate intra-African trade under the AfCFTA.
- Working with relevant product team (IATB/TRFI) to prepare Pre-Assement Memos (PAMs) for ATEX related transactions for approval at Pre-Assement Committee (PAC) and follow through the entire credit value chain until fully executed and disbursed.
- Work with ATEX Operator, WaysToCap to aggregate demand, identify suitable suppliers and logistics partners under the repurposed value proposition in response to the Ukraine/Russia crisis.
- Develop a database and onboard buyers and sellers to facilitate importation of fertilizers, grains and other agricultural products from, Africa, Russia and Ukraine and around the world to meet the growing food and fertilizer demand in Africa.
- Lead on internal coordination for all ATEX related matters including, IATB, TRFI, CRAS, RISK, COMP, BAOP etc to ensure timely execution of financing requests related to ATEX.
- Lead high-level political engagements with key stakeholders, including The African Union Commission, AfCFTA Secretariat, UNECA, EU Commission, U.S Government, UNCTAD, The French Government and Regional Economic Communities (RECs), as well as ministerial-level presentations as maybe required.
- Generate own buyer and seller pipeline efforts to support ATEX business and operation, focusing on the Government agencies, Regional Economic Communities (RECs) and development finance and trade partners.
- Identify opportunities to resolve regional and customer challenges through disciplined, high-quality contact activities, fully leveraging available marketing resources and tools.
- Liaise and co-ordinate with internal stakeholders relevant to ATEX success and reporting, including but not limited to Client Relations, Innovation and Product Development, Trade Finance, Compliance, IT and other IATB teams.
- Provide Senior Management with periodic updates and reports on progress made.
- Any other duties as may be assigned by Senior Management.

**Requirements**: Qualification and Skill**
- Postgraduate degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related fields from a recognized University.
- Professional presence and relationship-building skills.
- Highly motivated, possess a strong sense of ownership.
- 8 years of industry experience in Trade Finance, here exposure to B2B marketplace is an advantage.
- Strong leadership - ability to influence cross-functional teams to achieve business success.
- Ability to communicate and function in a culturally diverse and change-oriented setting with good knowledge of business planning practices in Africa.
- Ability to interact with senior officials of international agencies, multilaterals, banks, corporates and governments including at ministerial levels, heads of Government parastatals in Africa and outside of Africa.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Knowledge of the Bank's other working languages is an added advantage (French, Arabic and Portuguese).

**Contractual information**:

- 1-year consultancy contract - renewable
- Willing and able to relocate to Egypt for the opportunity
