ROLE SUMMARY
- The Insurance SHP is a key member of the H&V team in Egypt, who works closely with Director of H&V to develop and implement health insurance and health finance access strategic plans. The role takes a holistic view
of partnership with the prioritized healthcare institutions / systems to collaborate on initiatives that will meet the healthcare needs of the patients served by the institutions / systems and enable the availability of Pfizer medicines through commercial discussions/agreements. The SHP’s mindset is driven by customer-centricity and collaboration.
- ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify key Customers, incl. decision making / influencing network. Understand Key institutions' needs, challenges, and priorities
- Maintain an excellent level of expertise on local health finance laws & regulations and demonstrate in depth knowledge of market dynamics, competition, and relevant authorities’ directions | priorities.
- Leads the long-term, consultative, senior executive institution / system relationship to become the trusted business advisor.
- Take a short/mid/long-term view of Pfizer’s business, aligning across Pfizer BU.
- Ensure customer support by engaging with customers through both in-person and virtual interactions
- Responsible for identifying areas of joint interest that support a legitimate unmet patient need.
- Design and shape healthcare policies & guidelines that improves patients access to treatment and develop our strategic therapy areas business.
- By partnering with needed Pfizer cross-functional teams, the SHP leads the development of a strategic and holistic plan for the institution and the co-creation of innovative solutions to meet the key institutions’ healthcare priorities in those areas of joint interest supporting a legitimate unmet patient need
- Lead external engagements with health insurance | Regulators in Egypt delivering company and brand value communication and position Pfizer as preferred partner.
- Develop local market stakeholders | process mapping and act as SME for internal stakeholders and cross functional teams. If appropriate, the Strategic HP brings the right SMEs and other Pfizer capabilities to address customer’s needs
- Support the procurement process/availability of medicines per existing commercial agreements
- Advice and support H&V team in developing local value dossier based on robust payers| regulators insights and strong understanding of value drivers.
- Managing Pfizer assets reimbursement codes ( Files submissions and renewals) and manage insurance rejections challenges.
- Working with brand teams to develop risk | opportunities assessment and build assets enlisting plans across Egypt insurance bodies e.g. UHI, NHI, PHI
- Develop and promote win-win solutions, risk mitigation plans and negotiation strategies with insurance and government stakeholders in Egypt.
- liaising with H&V colleagues and provide inputs in building launch plans, patient outcome programs to widen the accessible segment and improve our assets insurance coverage.
- BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Medical / Science or relative sciences bachelor’s degree required.
- A minimum of 7-8 years of Commercial/Sales/CS experience.
- Able to demonstrate strong collaboration with internal cross functions such as market Access, H&V/Pricing, HAS, HSP, Medical, Network AM, Biopharma Ops Regulatory, Supply, Finance, PE and Legal
