We are seeking a talented **Pipeline Engineer** to join our Engineering Department team based in Cairo. In this role, you will be key in submarine pipeline systems design and engineering activities, working on innovative and impactful projects.

**What you will be doing.**:
As our **Pipeline Engineer**, you will provide technical expertise and support while reviewing relevant Marine Warranty Survey pipeline documentation. This role offers an excellent opportunity to collaborate with a highly skilled team and contribute to innovative engineering solutions in the submarine pipeline sector. Additionally, your responsibilities will include:

- Prepare as required and assist with technical inputs on projects and working on interfaces, with increased responsibility and complexity.
- Review pipeline design basis and ensure its full compliance with project specifications and Scope of Work.
- Manage a defined project scope within schedule and budget and resolve design irregularities.
- Conduct site visits.
- Prepare, review, analyze, and interpret technical data more independently and accurately.
- Take on greater responsibility in report writing and Technical Note preparation, with a focus on creating initial reports and analyses for review by experienced professionals.
- Undertake more complex analytical work, create, and maintain advanced spreadsheets and databases.
- Attend meetings together with senior managers and support where needed.
- Process Compliance and Improvement: Ensure all deliveries comply fully with approved instructions, procedures, and policies, and contribute to process improvements.
- Maintain comprehensive logbooks documenting progress and detailed analysis.
- Actively engage with mentors and begin mentoring less experienced colleagues, providing insights and guidance on professional growth and project execution.
- Work productively with teams to deliver innovative solutions and solve moderate-scope problems.
- Adhere to and promote all health and safety guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Responsible for the delivery of quality documents within timelines established by Management and Client, and liaising with Clients to ensure project completion and customer satisfaction.
- Perform all other tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.
- Always comply with the company QHSE policies, manuals, procedures, work systems, and regulations at ABL premises, projects, and client sites.

**What we are looking for.**:
As a Pipeline Engineer, you will have strong technical expertise in pipeline design, engineering principles, and relevant industry standards. You will excel in using advanced engineering software, preparing detailed reports, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions. Your proactive approach, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks will ensure project success and client satisfaction. Additionally, you will:

- Degree qualification in mechanical engineering with significant related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience.
- Working knowledge of the MS Office package is mandatory.
- Proficiency in relevant pipeline engineering software such as, but not limited to, Sage-profile, AGA-PRCI, Auto PIPE, VIVSIM, Stable-Line, Fat-free, OFFPIPE, Orca Flex, etc.
- Must have a good working knowledge of engineering principles and practices of DNV standards and recommended practices.
- Ability to develop pipeline engineering reports and guide draftsmen to develop pipeline drawings and details, such as:

- Basis of design
- Wall thickness selection.
- On-bottom stability.
- Bottom roughness.
- Dynamic span analysis & fatigue screening.
- Riser & tie-in spools design.
- Global buckling (lateral & upheaval).
- Crossing design.
- Alignment sheets, spools riser layouts, and crossing details.
- Pipeline project specifications.
- Pipeline & fittings material take-offs & material requisitions.
- Procurement support (vendor prints review and technical evaluations).
- Work with other disciplines to share pipeline loads with the Civil Discipline and riser loads with the Structural/Piping Discipline, and coordinate technical queries as required.
