Responsibilities:
• Provide helpdesk support and resolve problems to the end users satisfaction. Linux (RHCSA) knowledge is mandatory Linux (RHCE) knowledge is preferred Deep understanding and knowledge in all aspects of Linux Installing and maintaining and troubleshooting Desktop Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS & Redhat) Installing packages and OS patches Understanding basic linux commands Navigating the file system File and folder management User account management
• Monitor service desk for tickets assigned to the queue and process first-in first-out based on priority.
• Modify configurations, utilities, software default settings, etc. for the local workstation.
• Utilize and maintain the helpdesk tracking software.
• Document internal procedures.
• Install and configure new workstations/laptops, peripheral equipment and software.
• Maintain inventory of all equipment.
• Report issues to the direct manager for escalation.
