What you will enjoy doing
  • Raw material procurement process involves searching, selecting, ordering, and paying for raw materials required for a business.
  • Identifying and selecting & evaluating vendors, negotiating prices and terms, and awarding contracts
  • Developing strategies to source raw materials that are cost-effective while maintaining product quality and safety standards.
  • Negotiating contracts with suppliers to ensure fair pricing terms
  • Coordinating with production managers to schedule deliveries of raw materials to meet production schedules
  • Ordering raw materials as needed to maintain adequate inventory levels
  • Issue POs for raw materials and monitor delivery of materials and services until the ordered goods reach the plants (communicating with customs, banks, custom release etc.).
  • Prepare and execute supply agreements, which will protect the Company against missed deliveries, shortages, outages, poor material quality etc
  • Maintain vendor network to support the planned production volume and develop new sources of supply to offer lower cost alternatives. Monitor market conditions and communicate potential changes that could affect costs and/or schedules.
  • Closely collaborate with all relevant departments (Operations, Import, Finance etc.) and Corporate Purchasing to meet plant metrics and goals.
  • Ensure continuous material flow (to avoid shortages)
  • Consolidate Material Purchase Orders in order to decrease prices & achieve savings.
  • Improve Purchasing workflow & department structure through implementation ALPLAPurchase.


What makes you great
  • University degree in Engineering / Business or equivalent with 2+ years of procurement experience within a manufacturing company.
  • A strong understanding of business law, country regulations for import, raw material sourcing, procurement of technical parts, and outstanding negotiation skills.
  • Ability to organize diverse information, analyze and solve disputes.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with people inside and outside the organization are required.
  • Strong understanding of factors that influence manufacturing, cost and quality of operations is preferred
  • Excellent English Skills.
  • Very good MS Office Skills
