Plan started working in Egypt in 1981 and has a presence in ten of the 27 governorates in which the country including Greater Cairo, Alexandria, Giza, Beheira, Kalyoubia, Damietta, Qena, Assuit, Aswan, and Sohag. Plan international Egypt implements programmes designed to enable communities to improve the lives of the most marginalised children and their families. Plan Egypt’s Country Strategy focuses on five strategic objectives.

Through a five-interconnected, gender transformative and context-fit country objectives, PIE intends along with the various stakeholders at all levels to continue delivering positive and transformative changes so that “Children, especially girls, and young people grow up in an enabling environment, realizing their rights and contributing in both development and humanitarian settings as active agents of change”.

Driven by the overall purpose of PII and anchored on Plan International core values, bolder commitment to gender transformation and feminist leadership, program quality and influencing and a more vibrant and efficient operating model.

 

ROLE PURPOSE

The position holder will be responsible in implementation of the Supply Chain Manual throughout the country operations to achieve Value for Money in all Logistics and Procurement processes (goods and services which meet programme needs). Managing Fleet and transport service, managing suppliers’ relations, and ensuring compliance to procurement systems and procedures in the organization. In addition, the post holder is responsible for implementing safety and security measures advising operations and programmes based on security assessments and action plans building the capacity of staff on safety and security.

Reports to: Egypt, Business Support Services

  • Procurement Coordinator
  • Logistics Coordinator
  • Supply Chain Assistant & Receptionist
  • Area Ops Coordinators

Key relationships

Internal: The job holder has a close working relationship internally with the following departments and/or functions:

  • Programme Areas Managers
  • Project Managers
  • CO Programmes teams
  • Finance team
  • PA Operations Coordinators

External: The job holder has a close working relationship externally with the following departments and/or functions:

  • Vendors: Fostering strong and strategic relationship in their engagement with PIE
  • Likeminded NGOs and UN Agencies in building network, addressing common issues, as well as experience sharing
  • Other Private and Government Offices in addressing issues related with Supply Chain, Administration, Security
