As a Tech Developer, you will be site based and will provide technical analysis and development of solutions in support of the manufacturing processes and will manage the deployment, testing, validation, performance, operations and continuous support and improvement of all Technical, Engineering and Manufacturing applications within each Manufacturing Excellence and Quality and Lab Product team. This role requires a balance of business process understanding and technical breadth and an ability to operate in a flexible and agile way to drive efficiency and improvements to the Manufacturing, Technical, Engineering and Quality and Lab Products. The role has increased complexity of geographies, user bases (internal and external to GSK) and a large mix of technology and business process understanding. This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following:
Partner with the Product Manager(s) to develop, test, deploy & maintain technology and/or solutions to enable business value for GSK, operating within an Agile Product Model and DevOps principles. Responsible for the day-to-day operations within an Agile Product DevOps model, which includes but is not limited to:
Business process to system mapping and user requirements capture.Application and technology design & implementation e.g., automation tools, testing tools etc.UX Design & application of Design Thinking methods.Information/data flow design & implementation.Application integration selection/design & implementation.IT service to support end-to-end business processes.Financial evaluation e.g., Total cost of ownership calculations. Development, maintenance and management of products and solutions, including the identification of gaps, risks, and mitigation approaches. Engage with internal functions and external bodies (companies, standards bodies, and agencies) to understand the wider ecosystem that impacts the Product area. Collaborate with Portfolio & Product ensure solutions align agreed product roadmap & feature requirements. Engage with key stakeholders and end users to ensure best possible User Experience (UX) and business outcomes are achieved, escalating issues as appropriate. Provide technical leadership in support of service delivery and lifecycle management, to optimize the Product portfolio and ensure that systems continue to operate and evolve in line with the Product Roadmap, wider Tech environment and key standards. Track exceptions to standards and drive their remediation. Business Partnering Focused: Manage operational issues across site(s) or node(s) in the Supply Chain Engage with site tiered accountability process; and participate in Tech Performance Management processes. Provision of 1st line support for Manufacturing Excellence Products. Management of Site product instance monitoring & backlog requests (demand profile). Drive service optimization for Manufacturing products at a site level. Management of local manufacturing / quality partnerships (own & manage elements of Risk, Quality and Compliance management). Identification of value and improvement opportunities (understands the products to maximize the value created through those applications for site and ensures effective use of them). Lead feature release co-ordination / installation. Lead Site product instance configuration and deployment, enable continuous deployments and improvements. Control Lifecycle Management for services owned by Site Tech. Lead Site / Supply chain aspects of archiving and decommissioning activities for systems that have reached the end of their lifecycle. Lead in troubleshooting of applications across multiple technology domains, products and business areas. Provide ‘Technical’ and ‘Business awareness’ support to the Site Tech team to enable the appropriate definition and priorities of Tech Systems for the Site Why you? Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Software/IT or relevant technical topic. 3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a good understanding of manufacturing principles and practices. Strong conceptual thinking, modelling, analytical and problem-solving skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills Strong relationship building, team working and influencing skills High learning agility - ability to learn and adapt to new concepts, systems, and software independently and quickly Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the Systems Development Life Cycle Good knowledge and understanding of IT systems and how they apply to supported business areas. Knowledge of systems/software development methodologies and system architectures Good communications in English, sufficiency to build and maintain organizational support  Experience in support and / or development of IT systems Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Ability to plan own work to meet objectives, and to work independently. Experience in working with relational Databases (e.g., SQL Server or Oracle) and the ability to develop SQL queries Knowledge of MS Windows Operating Systems, MS SQL Server Databases Knowledge and experience in supporting Manufacturing shop floor systems Experience in application management, operations, and/or support including knowledge and experience of Incident, Problem and Change Management Familiarity with the concepts, standards, technology, tools, processes, procedures, hardware, software, and services in use for delivering information services. Ability to make appropriate technical decisions, initiating action to resolve operational issues. Understanding of components of the Enterprise Architecture & ability to identify innovative ways to leverage architecture to add value to GSK. Experience in designing multi-tier systems using industry and GSK standard architectural methodologies. Experience in systems/software development methodologies & ability to select appropriate one to meet objectives. Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: Familiarity with business processes, workflows and how IT tools can support business objectives Strong communication skills, sufficient to build and maintain relations with business stakeholders Strong influencing skills and ability to use technical expertise to influence peers and managers. Experience with using Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate, and Robotic Process Automation (RPA). Experience in business analysis or change management, application management, or project management.
